The Nashville Briefing’s Holiday Gift Guide

As we continue to head into the holidays, Nashville Briefing founder Zak Kuhn wanted to send out one more email to shout out some of his favorite holiday gift options, in case you are still looking for the perfect stocking stuffer for that special industry mogul. These are also personal picks of Zak and none of them are sponsored. See this year’s picks below!

Specsx

This is a company you need to keep on your radar. If you wear glasses like me, or even sunglasses, you probably know that the price of a simple pair of glasses can sometimes be hundreds of dollars, if not more. Specsx is solving this problem by selling your fave brands to you at cost! That’s right. Turns out glasses don’t actually cost that much to make. Sign up for their subscription model and you’ll find massive savings! In fact, Nashville Briefing teamed up with the brand to offer you a full year subscription. Click this link here to join and also be entered to win a free pair of sunglasses.

Traction, by Gino Wickman

At the beginning of 2023, I read Traction by Gino Wickman. While it’s not a new book, the impact it had on my business was massive. It offers a step by step guide to implement what it calls EOS (Entrepreneur Operating System) into your business. We put it to use this year and the impact was so big that I'm writing about it right now! If you’re looking for that one business book to read over the break, this is the one to get!

Askinosie Chocolate

Earlier this year, I had Seth Godin on my podcast The Zak Kuhn Show and one of the things we talked about was great chocolate! The brand he shouted out: Askinosie! Their story about giving back to their community through chocolate is worth catching up on. You can watch the founders TED Talk here but if you want a simple entry into the brand, just buy a couple bars and you’ll be sold.

King Arthur Gluten Free Pancake Mix

If you follow me on social media, you know about my love of pancakes. People often ask what the best pancake mix is. For my money, it’s this brand right here. Don’t be discouraged by it being gluten free! You won’t be able to tell the difference. They brand makes a variety of great flours and other baking ingredients as well.

Escuminac maple syrup.

Sticking with the pancake theme, I was turned on to this company from my friends at Beatdapp, a Canadian startup that finds missing royalties & identifies streaming fraud. They are doing amazing work and you should check them out if you haven't. This company treats maple syrup the way many treat fine wines. Some are vintage, some are barrel aged, etc. You can’t make this up. The result is an incredibly intense maple flavor in every bottle. Don’t sleep on this!

Buck Mason

If you walk down the 12 South neighborhood in Nashville on a Sunday afternoon, there is a good chance you will catch me at the Buck Mason store. There’s an even better chance that if you saw me in person anytime this year, I was wearing at least one garment from this brand. In fact, it is not uncommon to find me wearing an entire outfit from Buck Mason. Their garments are well made, affordable, and classically stylish. They have stores in most major cities, so no excuses! You can order online as well. Buck Mason also has great customer service! I could tell a story here to showcase it, but you need to get back to your families.

Three Spirit Drinks

If you’ve been at a concert with me this year, you probably know I don’t drink. I’m not the only one. Drink consumption at concerts is way down thanks to Gen Z fans who are consuming less and less alcohol. If you’re looking for an alcohol free option this holiday season, check our Three Spirit.
